SAR SPIDER
SAR SPIDER
The SAR Spider (Search and Rescue Spider) was initially conceptualized for earthquake rescue in California.
As a speculative Industrial Design project, this bio-mechanical arachnid provides efficient survivor rescue in catastrophic natural events.
It can be operated by a human and fueled metabolically by deceased bodies. The SAR Spider features multi-jointed limbs and infrared vision for complex operations, uses silk to traverse terrain that would be impossible for existing rescue vehicles. Its silk can administer antibiotic first-aid bandages to the injured and shroud dead bodies. Additionally, it is equipped with hypodermic fangs for fuel extraction.
