Auto-Salvation is composed of 3 installations, accompanying videos, sculpture, models, materials, and research. This project looks at how negative spaces were rendered in 13th-14th century iconographic paintings and the lineage of medieval scholasticism in 21st century visual literacy and knowledge systems. Using CAD to isolate the negative space, oftentimes human hands were disembodied inside the voids.
